H.E.M. Saw Twister Heavy-Duty Horizontal Mitering Bandsaw

H.E.M. Saw Twister Heavy-Duty Horizontal Mitering Bandsaw — Industrial single-column production bandsaw designed for heavy-duty metal cutting. This machine features approximately 14" × 20" cutting capacity at 90°, mitering capability, powered arm lift, adjustable work holding, variable blade speed, pneumatic controls, coolant system and a 5-HP, 220/440-volt, three-phase drive motor. The saw uses a 1-1/4" × 15' blade and approximately 18" diameter wheels, with variable blade speeds of approximately 60–300 SFPM. Includes heavy-duty discharge roller table and industrial control console. This saw was in regular industrial service until recently and was removed from service following a change in ownership when other equipment was put into use. It was reportedly functional when taken out of service. Shows normal cosmetic wear, paint deterioration and surface rust consistent with years of industrial use. A substantial production-grade bandsaw suitable for fabrication, machine-shop, structural steel and general industrial applications

Offered is a substantial International Machine Tool Corporation, Libby Division, heavy-duty turret lathe, manufactured in Indianapolis, Indiana. The original Libby identification and lubrication plate remains on the machine. This exceptionally heavy-duty American-built lathe is equipped with a 48-inch four-jaw chuck and a large square turret designed for production turning, facing, boring, threading, and other demanding machining operations. The machine features massive cast construction, a heavily reinforced bed, substantial carriage and apron, large lead screw and feed mechanisms, and a robust headstock designed to withstand heavy cutting forces. Libby turret lathes were built for demanding industrial applications and were used in manufacturing, railroad, heavy fabrication, and wartime production. This machine shows the age, paint loss, and surface wear expected of a long-serving industrial machine, but retains its major castings, bed, ways, carriage, turret, headstock, and associated mechanisms. The exact model and serial number have not been determined, so it is offered as an International Machine Tool Corp. Libby Heavy-Duty Turret Lathe without an unverified model designation. Note: The 48-inch dimension refers to the chuck diameter and is not the machine's swing capacity.
