This is a substantial industrial Retro Systems Hornet HD CNC plasma cutting system, featuring a Hypertherm HPR260XD HyPerformance 260-amp high-definition plasma power supply, Hypertherm gas console, ignition/control components, Retro Systems CNC control console, dual-side-drive CNC cutting table, and associated hoses, cables, regulators, torch components and consumables. The Hypertherm HPR260XD is a heavy-duty 260-amp, three-phase industrial plasma power source with a 100% duty cycle and is designed for high-quality production cutting of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Hypertherm rates the HPR260XD for material thicknesses ranging from thin sheet through heavy plate, with production piercing capacity of approximately 2" mild steel and maximum edge-start cutting capacity of up to 2-1/2" mild steel under specified conditions. The system's control console includes dedicated controls for plasma and oxy-fuel operation, cut-oxygen testing, marker testing, laser-pointer operation, HPR on/off, automatic and manual modes, collector start/stop, adjustable pierce-ramp time and emergency shutdown. The photographs also show a substantial assortment of Harris gas regulators, pressure gauges, hoses and fittings, along with numerous Hypertherm consumable components and replacement parts, making this a particularly comprehensive industrial cutting package rather than simply a plasma power supply and table. The Hypertherm identification plate shows HPR260XD, Part No. 078555, Serial No. 260XD-006924, while the associated gas console is identified as S/N HPRC 527639. The system has been disassembled for transportation and is being sold as the complete system and components shown; the assembled Hornet HD unit shown in the photographs is not the actual assembled condition of the equipment being sold. The photographs of the individual components, however, show the actual equipment included in the auction, and the system is represented as complete. This is an opportunity to acquire a serious, industrial-grade CNC plasma cutting system built around the well-regarded Hypertherm HPR260XD platform, suitable for a fabrication shop, structural steel operation, manufacturing facility or other operation requiring high-capacity automated plasma cutting. As with all used auction equipment, prospective buyers should inspect the equipment, components, controls, wiring, hoses and accessories and satisfy themselves as to condition, completeness, compatibility and operational requirements prior to bidding.

The seller, a large local manufacturing company, is selling this system as a result of a merger with another company. According to the seller, the machine is being sold because it is not large enough for their current needs and they already have another plasma cutting system that adequately meets their requirements. The seller reports that this system was in active service and production when it was disassembled and transported from California to Kansas and that it is functional and ready to put back into service.

The CNC system has received several significant upgrades, with additional information regarding those upgrades to be provided tomorrow. This unit is located near Great Bend, Kansas, and is capable of continuously cutting steel up to 2 inches thick, with the ability to intermittently cut heavier material.

The successful bidder will have 14 days from the date of the auction to remove the equipment. The seller has equipment available on site to assist the successful bidder with loading the table onto a truck. Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation.
